Michael S. Finkelstein is an accomplished and experienced legal professional with a diverse background in many areas of the law, including criminal, litigation, real estate, and personal injury.
Mr. Finkelstein is a seasoned practitioner who now focuses his practice primarily on litigation. Mr. Finkelstein litigates a wide-variety of matters, including but not limited to criminal, commercial litigation, and commercial and residential real estate transactions. Mr. Finkelstein’s criminal law practice is extensive and diverse; he handles cases from simple traffic tickets through complex murder cases.
More specifically, Mr. Finkelstein had success securing significant reductions in sentencing in two high profile criminal cases--- People v. Michael Hunter and People v. Cory Gloe, as well as successfully litigating numerous complicated commercial matters regarding restrict covenants within non-compete agreements- Greystone v. Green Key.
Mr. Finkelstein has been practicing for over 25 years, is admitted to the courts of New York State, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York and the United States Court of Appeals 2nd Circuit.
Mr. Finkelstein received his law degree from the University of Miami School of Law where he also participated in the Guardian Ad Litem program representing children in family and domestic matters. Mr. Finkelstein received his undergraduate degree from Syracuse University with honors, where he played D1 soccer and was a member of the Alpha Epsilon Pi Fraternity.
