Robert G. Litt

Founder and Managing Partner

Robert Litt has been practicing Tax Certiorari, Condemnation, and Real Estate law for almost 30 years.  Mr. Litt established his law office in 2011, which is located in the heart of Rockville Centre.  He manages and handles Tax Certiorari and Condemnation matters for commercial, residential, retail, and industrial properties on Long Island, as well as the rest of the State of New York, including New York City.

Mr. Litt also handles complex real estate acquisitions for commercial and residential properties such as hotels, beach clubs, large estate properties as well as zoning and land use matters. In addition, he has worked with the Industrial Development Agencies of several jurisdictions, securing necessary tax relief for his clients including tax exemptions for farms, religious institutions and horse ranches.

Our office maintains a sophisticated and cutting edge property database of all locations throughout Long Island. Mr. Litt is closely involved with the local political units in the County and Towns permitting him to maintain strong relationships. These relationships are vital for resolving matters quickly, efficiently and with maximum results for our clients.

Mr. Litt is currently Special Counsel for Tax Certiorari for the Long Island Diner Association and the Condo-Coop Association, as well as for many members of the Long Island Service and Repair Station Group.  He is a member of the Tax Certiorari Bar for Nassau and Suffolk County and the New York State Bar Association. 

We currently represent several large property owners in the hotel industry as well as in the commercial, retail, office and industrial building community. Mr. Litt has tried numerous matters in both Nassau and Suffolk Supreme Court for valuation cases and he negotiates on a regular basis with all jurisdictions.

Mr. Litt was previously a member of the Town Attorney’s Office for the Town of Hempstead, Deputy County Attorney of Nassau, as well as a partner at two large Long Island law firms, running the Tax Certiorari and Condemnation Group. He prides himself on taking a practical approach to problems and working tirelessly to secure the maximum and most cost effective results for his clients.

Mr. Litt graduated Hofstra Law with a J.D. in 1993. He also holds a B.A. in History from Boston University which he graduated in 1990.

Mr. Litt is admitted to practice before the New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, and Pennsylvania State and Federal Courts as well as the US Supreme Court.
